hydraulically operated
single and multiple clamping systems
clamping against the fixed jaw or concentric clamping
clamping against the fixed jaw
hydraulically operated, single acting
optionally with integrated stroke measuring system to query the slide position
the stroke measuring can be made by means of the installed sensor technology or the acquisition of the flow rate
In conjunction with the optional stroke measuring system, workpiece dimensions can be directly entered, registered and approached by a control unit. Manual adjustment of the jaw openings is not required. The machine tools must no longer be stopped for setup. This reduces downtimes and sources of error due to manual intervention.
Parts families with different dimensions can be clamped in one clamping system. Time-consuming and expensive fixture changes are no longer required and the machine running time is increased. Also the number of workpiece-specific fixtures can be reduced and thus fixture costs can be saved.
The process safety is positively influenced by the query of all functions. Clamping and operating errors are avoided and scrap rates reduced. Durability and easy maintenance are obtained by the closed design of the clamping system.
Costs for fixture maintenance and thus machine downtime are reduced. The stability of the base and an exact zero point position of the fixed jaw guarantee a high quality for your products.

Application
The workholding systems MC-P Z are especially advantageous for 5-axis machining. The compact design allows a good accessibility of the tools to the workpiece. Collision-free tool paths and a 5-sided workpiece machining can be achieved with short standard tools. Due to the good swarf protection, workholding systems MC-P Z are particularly suitable for the use in pallet systems.
The high force and stability obviate the need for pre-stamping of the workpieces.
Description
Workholding systems of the MC-P Z series excel by a very compact design and their patented segment design. Thanks to the adjusting spindle arranged in the upper part of the housing, deformation in the base during clamping is reduced to a minimum. Thus, a high rigidity of the workholding system is obtained.
The patented segment design ensures a high degree of precision and stability. The guiding clearance is reduced to nearly zero. All essential components are made of hardened steel.
The workholding systems MC-P 100 Z / 125 Z are already prepared for the use on zero point clamping systems. For this purpose, there are location threads for retractable nipples at the bottom side of the housing.

DS-H: hydraulically operated
For medium-sized and large series: Double clamping system DS hydraulically operated for efficient machining of workpieces, preferably with short cycle times. Can also be used arranged in a row for clamping of workpieces which require several clamping points. Compact and user-friendly for 2 optionally 4 workpieces (DS125).
The double clamping systems of the series DS excel by a high level of process safety. The patented guide and sealing system of the clamping systems guarantees a long service life with minimum maintenance. The 3rd-hand function facilitates the insertion of workpieces in a row.

concentric clamping
hydraulically operated, double acting
Concentric vices position and clamp workpieces under the influence of the outer contours exactly in a given symmetry axis. They can be used on machining centres, machines tools and machines for end machining as well as within special clamping fixtures.
Hydraulic clamping and unclamping is made by an external pressure transducer with a double-acting circuit. The synchronisation control adjusted free of play guarantees a high centring precision.

Two hydraulically operated "MC 60 H" on a reversible clamping system with workpiece-specific clamping jaws for 4-axis complete machining. The hydraulic lines are directly in the base plates of the "MC 60 H".
Hydraulic double clamping systems "DS 125H" on a long-bed machine. When using two additional floating jaws (always the second after the outside bar), up to four workpieces can be clamped at the same time for machining. The clamping forces are controlled by a separate hydraulic pressure transducer and can be triggered by a the machine control, a foot switch or - as shown- by a valve with turning knob. The clamping forces can be easily adjusted at the power unit and are thus exactly reproducible. The shown clamping jaws are manufactured as per customer's specification, that are available besides the numerous standard elements of the large accessory range.
Three hydraulically-operated concentric vices "Z 100 H" on a machine for machining of ends. The fully automated plant is in unattended operation. Workpiece-specific jaws clamp different diameters to the always same centre.
Two concentric vices "Z 160 H" in automatic mode of machine for machining of ends. The next workpiece is ready (top right in the figure), it will be fed by the gripper (above the workpiece being machined), after the previous workpiece was placed to the left. Optimised clamping jaws allow the machining of different components without jaw change. The fully automated plant is in unattended operation.
